Microsoft Release Videos About Metro And WP7 Design Principles

August

On August 13th Microsoft released a set of videos from sessions at its Design Days which outline the key areas of Metro UI for developers. Despite not being a developer myself I have found the two videos I have watched to be extremely interesting and very informative about the minutiae of the Metro UI; it’s also pleasing to see just how much care and attention Microsoft are paying to Metro.

I thoroughly recommend these videos to anyone interested in any product that features the Metro UI as it very easily shows how this UI works so well and how Microsoft hope developers will use it.

In one video, as Long Zheng has pointed out, there is an excellent looking golf app for Windows Phone 7 designed internally by Microsoft. I don’t play gold but am very impressed with this application and hope that this is the calibre of apps that third parties will also be producing.

1800pocketpc.com have managed to share a video of the gold app from one of the session videos.
